Sun Cities Chapter Leadership

The Desert Aires Barbershop Chorus is the chorus of the Sun Cities Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. It thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people on our Board of Directors that make our organization tick:

 


Bill Shaw - President

Bill Shaw is not only our Chapter President for 2012 but is also our Associate Director.  He has over 40 years experience in barbershopping and came to Arizona from Minneapolis where he was a member of the Minneapolis Commodores Chorus. He is the bass in the chapter quartet, Cactus Chordsmen.  In addition to singing in the chorus, a quartet or assisting in directing the chorus, Bill sells real estate for Ken Meade Associates.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jerry's background in Barbershop Harmony Society (formally known as SPEBSQSA) includes 10 years as a singer and ten years as a director. He has directed Desert Aires Chorus since February 2008. Jerry is in real estate sales as well.
